What to Expect

Whether you’re looking for a church home or just in town for vacation or the weekend, we invite you to join us on Sunday morning. We get together around 10 A.M. in our worship center located at the light in Jamaica Beach.  Grab a cup of coffee on us as you walk in!

During the Service

We mix things up a lot during our 90 minutes together each week, but there are a few things you can count on.  We love Jesus around here, and one of the best ways to let him know that is through singing … so we sing!  The other side of that communication coin will take the form of a time of open community prayer.  We also take seriously our responsibility to encourage one another, so you’ll have a chance to do that as well.  Our pastor usually presents a brief Children’s Sermon along with a more in-depth teaching from God’s Word.  That teaching will include an explanation of what it means to be a Christian, and you will have a chance to commit yourself to a personal relationship with Jesus.  You will also have an opportunity to experience worship through Communion, or the Lord’s Supper.  As they were in the biblical Temple, boxes have been placed by the doors so you can add giving to your worship experience if you are led by God to do so.

After the Service

Please locate a Seasider on your way out (if one of them hasn’t already found you) and let’s talk!  We would love to get to know you.  If you would like to learn more about us, you can also leave us a note on one of the information cards available to you.  We’ll be happy to give you a call or return the visit in your home.

What’s available for my kids?

Your children are certainly welcome to join you in worship.  We have a Kid’s Table to your right in the Worship Center where they can find tools like crayons and paper to help them focus “their way.”  If they need to walk around and stretch, let them!  We want them to feel like they are part of the Family. We also have a separate room available where your child can learn about Jesus on his or her own level from one of our caring Seasiders.

How should I dress?

Come as you are!  Our folks are definitely into the Island style here.  You may see shorts and t-shirts or even bathing suits on really warm summer days.  Be comfortable.  Let your focus be on meeting Jesus rather than worrying about appearances!

Where do I park?

Use any of the open spaces next to the worship center.  You can also feel free to park on the grassy area right next to the Worship Center.
